Abstract (EN): This paper presents the continuous monitoring of a full-scale Movable Scaffolding System (MSS) under normal operation, addressing the challenges faced during the monitoring period and the advantages of such a system. The monitoring system was implemented in an MSS used to build in-situ prestressed concrete decks with spans up to 70 m, in Luzny Bridge access viaducts between April 2019 and March 2020. Sonic anemometers, strain gauges and triaxial accelerometers were used to monitor the MSS during the deck's construction. This is the first time that the use of an extensive monitoring program on a movable scaffolding system under operation is documented and that the advantages of combining different monitoring components in this type of structure are explored, mainly in terms of management of the operation and on its design optimisation. Finally, processing strategies to extract useful information from the monitoring data of these very particular structures are proposed, opening new opportunities to extract value from monitoring tools, contributing to increase the use of information technologies in the construction sector and for its automation.
