Abstract (EN):
Principles for producing high molecular weight linear networks through end-linking reactions or ring opening of suitable monomers are presented. Methods needed for predicting the outcome of the reactions are reviewed and assessed. Issues caused by parasite reactions, elimination of by-products, monomer insolubility, and the exploitation of solid state and interfacial processes are also discussed.
