Abstract (EN):
Prediction and mitigation of ground-borne vibrations are one of the largest environmental challenges for railway exploitation in urban areas. The expansion and improvement of the railway network demands put new challenges on technical community, namely in the assess the environmental impact of the exploitation of railway infrastructures in the surroundings. In this way, the present work summarizes the main outputs of the exploration of a railway ground-borne vibration field test over the last 10years, allowed to better understand the problem and provide an experimental database that can be used by the technical and scientific communities on the experimental validation of prediction tools. Additionally, a substructured and efficient numerical tool, able to simulate the whole system from the source to the receiver, is presented and experimentally validated. © 2022 Elsevier Inc.
