Abstract (EN): This paper describes the design criteria for flexural strengthening of reinforced concrete structures with FRP systems presented in the design guidelines published by FIB [1] and ACI[2]. Two laboratory research programs were carried out, one at the Faculty of Engineering University of Oporto (FEUP) and the second at University of Minho (UM). An analysis is presented comparing experimental results of these programs and predicted results by the FIB and ACI proposals.
