Abstract (EN): In the last decade public transport companies (PTCs) made an important effort on gathering data about the actual work of their vehicles using Automatic Vehicle Location systems. PTCs have data about what happened but they are not being able yet to convert this data in useful information for the planning tasks, namely: trips definition, buses and drivers duties, and the assignment of duties. A major indicator used in these tasks is the expected travel time (TT). In this talk we explain how TT predictions can be used in the planning and control tasks for typified situations.
