Abstract (EN): A typica l loudspeaker has some nonlinearities that interfere with its behavior causing the well-known distortions. In this paper, we study two of the major electromechanical nonlinearities, the motor force factor and the suspension compliance. First we found a model for nonlinear loudspeaker simulation. The results were compared with experimental observation, validating the model. Two types of compensation were introduced, one open loop and one closed loop approaches, showing that it is possible to improve loudspeaker performance considerably. This paper describes a preliminary study of this type of compensation, aiming to subsequent implementation using a digital signal processor (DSP).
