Resumo (PT): Em problemas de sequenciamento de operações em que a velocidade com que os operadores executam as tarefas é crescente com a carga de trabalho, por exemplo, crescente com o tamanho da fila de espera, a teoria do caos prevê que poderão surgir situações semelhantes a comportamentos estocásticos. Neste trabalho, que é exploratório, vamos, em termos teóricos, discutir se se poderão observar tais comportamentos caóticos em linhas sequenciais de produção. A resposta final no contexto de um caso concreto apenas poderá ser obtida pela medição da variação dos tempos de resposta dos servidores a mudanças na carga de trabalho.

Abstract (EN): In operation sequencing problems where the rate that the operators execute the tasks is increasing with the workload, for example, it is increasing with the size of the queue, the theory of the chaos foresees that it may occur dynamics that resemble the random behaviour. In this work, that is exploratory, we analyse, in theoretical terms, if such chaotic behaviours might arrive in production lines that are sequential. A final conclusion on this subject only is possible by measuring how the rate that the operators execute the tasks varies with changes in the workload.
