Abstract (EN): This paper focuses on the numerical assessment of the load-carrying capacity of a stone arch railway bridge. The nonlinear analysis is based on 3D finite element models of the bridge under incremental static loading representing the railway traffic with appropriate configurations on the bridge deck. The numerical model of the constitutive material behaviour is defined based on the results of an experimental campaign covering material testing for characterization of masonry and infill components of this type of bridges.
