Abstract (EN): In this chapter, the main parameters considered for designing and analysing an indoor environment are described. These parameters are typically classified in relation to energy saving, thermal comfort, preservation of materials, hygiene and health effects. A good understanding of the relationship between parameters will help us optimise previous and future models. This optimisation lets us define better indoor conditions and an adequate Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning System design, selection and operation.
