Resumo (PT): A escuta musical tem vindo a sofrer modificações significativas com a difusão das tecnologias de reprodução do século XX. A elite tradicional – detentora dos valores tradicionais de música sinfônica – havia perdido sua hegemonia em decorrência as práticas populares surgidas no pós-guerra. Este ensaio propõe a compreensão das mudanças estruturais que permeiam os locais de execução de música, tanto tradicional quanto o “novo experimentalismo”, o Jazz, estúdio eletroacústico e sua difusão pelas rádios na cidade de Nova York, criando uma nova cena.

Abstract (EN): The music listening received significant changes with the expanse of reproduction technologies of XX century. The traditional elite – owner of symphonic music values – had lost your hegemonic status because of newest popular praxis in postwar. This essay aims the comprehension of structural changes that permeate places of music – traditional and ‘new experimentalism’ – Jazz, electroacoustic and radio’s propagation in New York City, creating a new scene.
