Abstract (EN): The human ear is divided into three parts: outer, middle and inner ear. The middle ear is formed by ossicles (malleus, incus and stapes), ligaments, muscles and tendons, that transfer sound vibrations from the eardrum to the inner ear, linking with mastoid and Eustachian tube. The smaller bone of the human body, the stapes, can be replaced by a prosthesis when is damaged by exaggerated ossification. Different types of materials and morphology have been used, like stainless steel, teflon and titanium among others. In this work, a finite element modelling of the tympano-ossicular system of the middle ear was developed. The comparison between models with different prosthesis were compared with model representative of normal ear.
