Abstract (EN):
This paper focuses on the dynamic analysis of a railway stone masonry arch bridge under traffic loads. The simulation of the train-bridge dynamic interaction is based on 3D finite element models of the Côa bridge and Alfa-pendular train. Both numerical models are calibrated based on experimental modal parameters, namely natural frequencies and modal shapes. The assessment of the dynamic response of the train-bridge system is performed in terms of structural safety, track stability as well as passenger comfort. © 2016 Taylor & Francis Group, London.
