Abstract (EN):
Some ultrastructural features of intranuclear cytoplasmic inclusions (ICI) were studied in 25 thyroid papillary carcinomas. Most of ICIs appear to be true nuclear inclusions and are frequently filled with M bodies and microfilaments. Their content suffers a sequential decomposition process similar to focal cytoplasmic degradation, but acid phosphatase activity could not be detected. A hypothesis is advanced on the rough endoplasmic reticulum origin of M bodies and the important role played by microfilaments in the genesis of ICIs.
