Abstract (EN): Gait deficiencies are usually determined based on simpler mathematical models that are meant to virtually reconstruct the experiment that the data was taken from. This assessment is usually faster to make, but has the disadvantage of being somewhat lacking in depth and usually the muscles on the body are either not present in the model or they are highly simplified. This work proposes the use of the advanced musculoskeletal modeling software AnyBody (R) to further understand the mechanical elements in human gait. A 2.5 year old girl with birth malformation and a healthy child of the same age were investigated. The analysis provided detailed data regarding the angles of the different body elements during the motion together with information related to the forces and moments that act on the joints in order to perform the movement. Further conclusions can be reached upon analyzing the extracted data.
