Professional journey with 7 years of experience in dentistry, focused on oral surgery and dental implants and 5 years dedicated to academic research, involving bone regeneration, periodontal disease, cell cultures, biomaterials and antibiotics. Participated in 9 scientific article publications, 4 as first author.
The solid academic background begins with a Bachelors' degree in Dentistry, followed by a Specialization course in Implantology, several clinical courses and a Master Degree in Biopharmaceutical Sciences by Faculty of Pharmacy (U.Lisboa), including a traineeship at School of Engineering (EHU, Bilbao, Spain).
Works in the area of Medical and Health Sciences, with an emphasis on Medical Biotechnology, Bio-Nanomaterials, Pharmacology and Oral Surgery. In addition, Natural Sciences focused on Microbiology, Cell Biology and Molecular Biology are part of his experience. In his professional activities, he interacted with more than 20 collaborators in co-authoring scientific works. Currently, Victor works as investigator at Laboratory for Bone Metabolism (FMDUP) and LAQV / REQUIMTE.
