Personal Presentation

Maria João Ponces graduated in Dental Medicine in 1990 and post graduated in Orthodontics in 1993. She did her Master's and PhD in the same area in 1999 and 2009, respectively, developing research in the areas of orthodontic diagnosis and maxillofacial development. She began teaching at the FMDUP in 2004 and is currently teaching on the Integrated Masters in Dental Medicine and the Specialization Course in Orthodontics at the FMDUP and the Masters in Academic and Clinical Education at the FMUP. In addition to her duties as an assistant professor, she is a full member of INEGI. She has a private practice as a specialist in Orthodontics and is vice president of the Board of Directors of the Portuguese Dental Association.
