Objectives
Acquisition of knowledge in basic Immunology and its application in physiological and pathological situations. Acquisition of skills for critical analysis of basic and advanced bibliographic information in the subject area of immunology. Acquisition of skills in the use of immunological methods and techniques. Acquisition of self-learning habits and methods.
Learning outcomes and competences
Upon completing this course, the student must have knowledge in basic immunology necessary to understand the functioning of the immune system in physiological and pathological situations. Must know how to critically analyze and interpret the data contained in the scientific literature, in a critical way. The studente should have acquired knowledge and skills in the use of immunological laboratory techniques. He should have acquired self-learning habits and methods.

Eligibility for exams
According to the General Regulations for Student Assessment of the University of Porto, a student is considered to comply with a curricular unit if, having been regularly enrolled, he does not exceed the limit number of absences corresponding to 25% of the foreseen classes, as regulated existing in the organic unit.

Mark obtained on final exam. A mark of 9,5 / 20 is necessary for approval.
