Objectives
Aims, Skills and Learning Outcomes
The general goals of the UC Iconography are:
- To insure the knowledge of the basic concepts of photography and presentation;
- The use of photography applied to Dental practice;
- To be able to use adequate photographic techniques during case documentation.
Learning outcomes and competences
As a result of the learning the students will be able to make and present a photographic protocol with criteria of high quality.

- Intra-oral photography:

- Characteristics of each photo: frontal, lateral, occlusal, overjet and overbite;
- Extra-oral photography:

- Protocols for each dental specialty;

Teaching methods and learning activities
Theoretical practical classes with explanation of the theoretical foundations of the photographic techniques.
Live demonstration of extra and intraoral oral photography.
Practical exercises on the part of the students.

Calculation formula of final grade
- Attendance x 10% x + practical assessment x 35% ++ theoretic assessment x 35% + paper x 20%
- The final classification will be expressed in numerical scale from 0 to 20.
- It is approved the student whose final grade evaluation is equal to or above 10.
