Objectives
The course Monograph III is the third of a set of four courses that focus on the investigational part of this Specialization Course in Oral Rehabilitation.
This course has as main objectives:
- Understand the different degrees of scientific evidence hierarchy;
- Understanding the peer review process in scientific publications.
Learning outcomes and competences
The student must be competent in producing written reports, including the preparation and modification of manuscripts. Must develop critical thinking and conduct a self-assessment exercise about developed clinical activity, if necessary under supervision.

The syllabus of the course Monograph III are developed according to the chosen theme.
The student will have the support of an Advisor and, if necessary, a Co-Advisor in the respective sub-scientific area.

Teaching methods and learning activities
In this course the teaching methods will be determined by the supervisors and should take account of the research topic to be developed by students. Also Advisors should supervise the preparation of the activities plan required to the implementation of the research work and the public presentation of clinical cases.

Calculation formula of final grade
Students will be assessed by the degree of completion of the targets set by the Advisors and the quality of the works presented. It is a kind of distributed evaluation without final exam.
