Objectives

Simple and complex restorative treatment of anterior and posterior teeth. Tooth treatment with auxiliary retention means. Bleaching in vital and non-vital teeth. Presentation and discussion of various Conservative Dentistry clinical cases .
Monoradicular and plurirradicular different endodontic treatment with higher difficulty level than the previous two clinical semesters.

Learning outcomes and competences

Enabling the student to undertake restorations and endodontic treatments of different difficulty levels.

Summary and discussion of clinical cases. These have been selected by the sector assistant during practical lessons from the previous week.

Theoretical and practical assessment: beyond the ability of clinical performance, the diagnostic decision, the conduct and theoretical capacity questions during practical classes.

• Each student must provide the sector assistant elements relating to clinical case selected
• Preferably deliver Rx + Photography * and scanned the report in Word to e-mail of the sector assistant

Classroom Practice Operative Dentistry / Endodontics

1. Treating more than one tooth for consultation whenever possible. To do this, the patient's treatment plan should be reviewed and analyzed in the beginning of the lesson.
2. Occasionally one can approve, duly authorized by the teacher the second patient
3. In case of 2 patients scheduled in the same class, the assistant should be warned at the beginning of the class.
4. Waiting time for patient: 15 minutes (tolerance)

For recovery of the final grade, in the students' worksheets is advisable to have the following practical work:

• 1 class I composite restoration
• 1 Restoration Class I silver amalgam
• 1 in Class II composite restoration in molar or premolar (upper or lower)
• Restoration 1 Class II amalgam silver molar or premolar (upper or lower)
• Restoration 1 Class IV complex or composite cosmetic or aesthetic restoration rehabilitation more than one tooth
• 1 Restoration Class V composite or glass ionomer (anterior or posterior teeth)
• 1 Large Restoration with intraradicular pin

1. However each student will also be advised by the sector assistant to perform restaurations that are not dealt with in the previous semestral sheet.
2. Radiographs of clinical cases contained in student sheet paper must be presented in-port films or sheets of acetate.
3. Absolute isolation of the operative field should be carried out where necessary


Endodontics

evaluation

A final note of Endodontics will be found by averaging the score of each full case report with a score given to each student by the appropriate assistant.

The reports will be delivered to Professor, without fail, until eight days after the conclusion of the case.
According to stipulated by the Faculty found the final note will be worth 90% and added 10% for attendance.
