A scientific dissertation, unique and especially made for this purpose, or a professional nature internship final report object, corresponding to 51 ECTS credits of the course.
The curricular unit "Dissertation or Training Report" consists on the realization of an individual work that includes an objective/justification, a thematic development.
The two modalities are subject to presentation and public discussion for the respective evaluation.
It is intended that the student acquires experience in the development of research or review works, know search and correct information, have critical sense and make a selfassessment exercise carried out clinical activity. According to the theme to be developed by students, they are established specific objectives by the respective supervisors.
Learning outcomes and competences
It should be considered the specificity of the adequacy of the program content to the theme to be developed by students.
Students will develop the knowledge and skills provided in the objectives set by the respective supervisor, and shall ensure to such consistency.

The syllabus of the curricular unit of "Dissertation or Training Report" are developed depending on the chosen theme.
The student will have the support of a supervisor and, if necessary, of a cosuperviser in the respective scientific area.

The bibliography depends on thematic area to be developed and will be advised by the supervisors.
Teaching methods and learning activities
It should be considered the theme of dissertation or training report to be developed by students, as well as the inherent subjectivity of the teaching methodologies of the respective supervisors, who will be responsible to supervise the preparation of the business plan required to the implementation of the dissertation or training report;support the implementation of actions to develop, according to the business plan proposed;collaborate with the cosuperviser (if existed) on all matters relating to the work to be done;guide the development of the final work; ensure compliance with the deadlines of the final work and support the student in the public presentation.
The jury, consisting of three to five members, including the superviser or cosuperviser, is approved by the Scientific Council of the FMDUP, on a proposal from Scientific Committee of the cycle of study leading to the degree of Master of Oral Rehabilitation.
It will be assigned a numerical scale rating of 020 values.
