The control of pain and anxiety of the patient is fundamental in Oral Surgery.
the student's pre-graduate should be able to manage all forms of local and regional anesthesia required for surgery in the oral cavity and be able to deal with complications that may occur after application of these methods of pain control.

Theoretical classes are taught key issues for the student to know in depth the anatomy of the head and neck pathologies affecting the hard tissues of the oral cavity, the recommended treatment according to their etiological factors and the basic principles of surgical techniques. The teóricopráticas classes provide the student the application of knowledge acquired in lectures on anatomical models, contact and handling of surgical instruments, simulation and training of surgical techniques in equipment prepared for this purpose.
The evaluation of the practical component comprises 3 mini-tests with 30 minutes duration with short answer questions. The Theoretical exam consists of questions of "multiple choice" and development issues and short answer. The final grade is 50% of the theoretical evaluation, 50% of practical assessment.
