Objectives
At the end of the course, students should be able to study a critical and reflective in the field of Oral Surgery. Being able to diagnose, plan and execute integrated rehabilitation treatments. Mastering the techniques and skills needed to perform treatments in the field of Oral Surgery. Know and master the classic and current scientific literature in the field of Surgery Oral. Dominate the research methodology on the field of Oral Surgery. Being able to perform clinical and laboratory research. Know and master the teaching techniques of public presentation. Have the theoretical and practical bases for the preparation and publication of articles and scientific papers.
Learning outcomes and competences
The student should be able to perform autonomously the surgical procedures in the program of this course.
Theoretical skills and surgical practices are developed through participatory exposure and resolution of clinical cases. The practical skills are developed in the works
clinical practice supervised the care of patients. Communication skills are acquired through group dynamics and interaction of the student with the patient.

Treatment of patients in FMDUP by students, under teachers supervision, for diagnosis and treatment of pathologies in the Oral Surgery field. The pathologies observed and treated in this and previous UC UC Clinical Activity I, II and III, are not subject to any restriction in terms of the type of pathology. Ie 4 UC allow students contact, diagnose and treat any disease area.

Teaching methods and learning activities
Practical classes and laboratory. Students will be assessed throughout the year, on the ability to diagnose and treat patients. The scientific basis and the quality of the performed clinical practices will be evaluated by teachers. TP classes consists in the presentation of the case based on clinical examination of the pathology, the study of ancillary diagnostic tests (imaging, analytical, photographic records and study models). Before each clinical situation will be developed and discussed the different surgical techniques and the best surgical options to adopt during the surgical operation. As objective of the Master the student will perform surgery with varying degrees of difficulty and with a range of remarkable diversity.
