The cycle of studies includes an original thesis, specially prepared for this purpose, appropriate to the branch of knowledge or their specialty with 96 ECTS credits.
The modality is subject to presentation and public discussion for the respective evaluation.
It is intended that the student acquires experience in the development of research or review works, know search and correct information, have critical sense and make a selfassessment exercise carried out clinical activity.
According to the theme to be developed by students, they are established specific objectives by the respective mastermind.

The syllabus of the curricular unit of "Thesis" are developed depending on the chosen theme.
The student will have later the support of an advisor or and, if necessary, another superviser in the respective scientific area.

It should be considered the theme of thesis to be developed by students, as well as the inherent subjectivity of the teaching methodologies of the respective advisors who will be responsible to supervise the preparation of the business plan required to the implementation of the thesis; support the implementation of actions to develop, according to the business plan proposed; collaborate with the coadvisor (if existed) on all matters relating to the work to be done; guide the development of the final work; ensure compliance with the deadlines of the final work and support the student in the public presentation.
The jury and consists of Director, who presides, and a minimum of four members, including the advisor or coadvisor.
Approved will be assigned a rating Aprovado or Aprovado com Distinção.
