Objectives

At the end of the action, the participant should be able to: 1. Making the victim's approach to safety; 2. Assess the state of cardiopulmonary arrest, respiratory arrest, the victim unconscious, and know when to seek help 3. Perform basic approach of the airway, cardiac massage and side position. Knowledge: Know What are the risks to the rescuer and know how to identify potential sources of danger; Knowing that there are different causes of loss of consciousness and name them; Know that there are different causes of cardiac arrest and mention them, Know when and how to get help; Know what you mean YOU and how it works; Know how to evaluate whether ventilation is effective; Knowing the importance of correct positioning of hands on the chest ; Know synchronize ventilation and chest compressions.

Teaching methods and learning activities

The formation, following the rules of the RCT and CPR, have a standard format and that meets the quality standards certifiable by these organizations, namely: 1. Theoretical training introductory principles of BLS 2. Practical training in dummy, techniques and procedures, to be met by all students. 3. Final evaluation of the course with the award of the certificate of approval. 4. The trainers will have to be empowered with the course of S. Advanced Life Support (ALS), and each group of these trainers should be enabled with the-Trainer Course. 5. The initial ratio should be one trainer for every six students, but may be up to +50% tolerance, ie 1:9. 6. The appropriate duration for the courses should be at least 4 hours of contact with teachers. 7. For every trainer should be a training dummy for CPR maneuvers and airway anatomical part.
