Objectives
- Be competent in the establishment of an effective communication with the patient as well with colleagues and other members of the health team.
- Be competent to carry out a proper clinical interview and a physical examination, developing a system of observation and analysis, to know and evaluate the extent and severity of general signs and symptoms of obvious and subtle, and link them to know the pathophysiological and clinical.
- Be competent in-depth knowledge and how to prioritize wisely the additional diagnosis commonly used in Prosthodontics.
- Be competent in acquiring scientific knowledge base, allowing not only a theoretical support for its clinical application, but also lead to a complex planning and comprehensive rehabilitation.
- Be competent in the development of psychomotor skills and aesthetic sensibility.
- Be competent to resolve in clinical practice, independently, simple and complex situations, such as single tooth or implant-supported crowns and bridges, removable prosthodontics and TMJ disorders.
- Be competent to recognize the treatments that exceed their capabilities and in these situations, refer the patient to the appropriate specialist.
- Be competent to develop group work and multidisciplinary.
Program
Clinical Practice (2 days, 8 hours a week).
Teaching methods and learning activities
Discussion, planning and treatment of clinical cases of tooth or implant-supported Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics and TMJ disorders and orofacial pain.
Evaluation Type
Distributed evaluation without final exam
Eligibility for exams
Attendance of at least 75% of clinical classes.

- Attendance and punctuality 10%
- Human capacities, technical and scientific treatment of clinical cases 60%
- Reports presented on patients treated (Moodle) 20%
- Timeliness of reporting (Moodle) 10%.
