Objectives
Study of medical diseases with high prevalence in the community. Concepts of epidemiology, mortality and prognosis. Clinical manifestations and diagnosis. Basis of therapeutic approach. Primary prevention. Prevention of new clinical events and chronic complications. Impact of conditions studied in dentistry. Evaluation of risk factors in the medical act of Dental Medicine. Identification and correction of urgent clinical situations, by recognizing the signs or symptoms that characterize them. Basic life support. Evaluation of drug interactions. Health Promotion and Decision Medical Analysis.

A minimum of 75% of class attendance.
Calculation formula of final grade
Final mark from 0 to 20 points = (Theoretical testx 0,45) + (average of all practical work + continuous evaluation mark)x 0,45) + (class attendance x 0,1)
Minimum of 10 points must be achievd for approval. Although a minimum of 9,0 points (in 20) is required in either theoretical and practical evaluation.

Special works or proofs are unforeseen.
Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)
In order to be approved, the students need the theoretical and practical component. Those students whose statute allows them a special evaluation regime may be evaluated apart from the regular calendar.
