Objectives
To situate the prosthodontics in the context of dentistry
Learning the terminology and basic concepts needed to understand removable prosthodontics.
To studying the consequences of tooth loss: individually, socially and economically. Acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge needed for the diagnosis of the partial and completly edentulous patient.
Acquisition of general knowledge related to the rehabilitation of edentulous patients, with partial and complete removable prosthesis.

Teaching methods and learning activities
Theoretical teaching: exposure of the materials listed in the program illustrated and accompanied with appropriate iconography; the students are encouraged to participate actively in class.
Practical training: execution by students of the all tasks of the program.
Discussion of all work with the student for the objective of learning: (1) how to make it and (2) why we do it.
