Objectives
1. Knowledge of the therapeutics groups in dentistry - Conhecimento dos grupos terapêuticos de relevância médico-dentária –Analgesics and anti-inflammatory drugs, local anesthetics, antianxiety drugs, drugs affecting hemostasis, drugs to treat infection, fluoride, antiseptics and disinfectants.
2. Knowledge of the pharmacology of drugs affecting major organ systems - cardiovascular system, respiratory system, gastrointestinal tract, endocrine system, antineoplastic drugs, immunotherapy.
For these therapeutics groups, relevant implications in dentistry are also considered, i.e. oral reactions, precautions and interactions.
