Objectives
- To learn how to perform endodontic jobs on monoradicular and multiradicular teeth.
- To control treatments performed during the previous year, as a means to monitor the success rate of the controlled treatments.
- To acquire knowledge and training on bibliographical research.
Program
- Performance of endodontic jobs (treatments) on patients with a growing degree of difficulty; the teeth to undergo treatment shall be selected so that students start with simple cases and then move on to more difficult cases.
- Control of treatments performed during the previous academic year.
- Each student shall submit a research work on a previously selected subject.

Teaching methods and learning activities
- Practical classes; groups of two students shall be organised, in which one student works as operator and the other one as assistant. A teacher shall be responsible for each group, thus monitoring each treatment procedure.

Distributed evaluation without final exam
Eligibility for exams
The grading system used stretches from 0 to 20, where 10 represents the minimum pass grade.
Calculation formula of final grade
The final grade is obtained according to the following formula: (2X (A+RC) + TP) / 5
A = Average of the grades awarded by the teaching assistant
RC = Average of the reports on the clinical jobs
TP = Research work
