Objectives

To provide knowledge on the importance of clinical history and on the objective examination of the patient.
Research of symptoms and its integration as a means to prepare a diagnosis.
Valuation and limits of the laboratory. Laboratory semiotics.

Program

Approaching the patient at the doctor's. The patient as a human being.
Doctor-patient relationship. Clinical sense.
Clinical history: reasons for encounter, history of the disease.
Clinical history: personal and family pre-existing conditions.
Physical examination of the oral cavity: intra-oral examination.
Physical examination of the oral cavity: extra-oral examination.
Physical examination of the oral cavity: complementary methods of diagnosis.
Objective examination of the different organs and systems, namely neurological examination.
Basis of laboratory semiotics.
Analytical interpretation of different pathologies that affect the oral cavity.
Relationship between the laboratory and the clinic.
