Objectives

Identify the plans and volumetry of urban structures from Eastern Antiquity to the Middle Ages, as a process in understanding societies.
Understand the practice of Hellenic urbanism as a starting point to reflect on the polis and its structures of social and political organization.
The praxis of urbanism in Rome and its influence and contributions to posterity. Types of medieval urban areas and their ideological and physical principles.
