Objectives

To acquaint students with the works of some of the major Italian writers. In the first semester, the focus falls upon Giovanni Boccaccio’s “Decamerone” and Carlo Goldini’s “La Locandiera”. Thus, both prose and drama from the 14th-century to the 18th-century will be addressed.

I - Giovanni Boccaccio and the “Decameron”
