Objectives

At the end of this course, students should be able to:

- apply theories necessary for the teaching of French as a foreign language,

- make theoretical choices and understand their implications in a French as a foreign language class

-learning to teach

- possess the practical and professional instruments necessary to prepare an FLE class

- be aware of the pedagogical responsibility of the FLE teacher

Learning outcomes and competences

Through the chosen literature and the documents used in the classroom oriented towards the proposed syllabus, students will have acquired extensive knowledge in the field of didactics with regard to the different teaching methodologies, the different approaches to be implemented, the various instruments and teaching materials. work in a teaching-learning context that will allow them to acquire a critical reflection process leading.

To successfully participate in this UC, students should preferably have reached the C1 French level (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Language Teaching)

Teaching methods and learning activities

Theoretical-practical classes with qualified participation, based on grounded knowledge, inferencial capacity and reflective skills developed by students

The privileged approach in class is communicative and action based essentially on practical tasks. The proposed activities aim to develop students' skills as future teachers of French as a foreign language. Reflection processes are activated during classes from varied literature within the scope of language didactics as well as practical cases and testimonies in the context of a classroom, allowing a critical and rigorous reflection leading students (future teachers) to make correct and thoughtful choices in what concerns the teaching-learning methods to implement.
