Teaching language

Spanish

Objectives

a) To provide the students with curriculum reference documents for learning and teaching of Spanish as foreign language (ELE). To develop the correct analysis and interpretation of these documents, in order to adequately promote their future teaching practice.

b) To classify and compare different didactic resources in order to facilitate the process of learning Spanish as a foreign language.

c) To plan, elaborate and build didactic activities and tasks in order to develop the communication skills of the future learners of ELE.

All materials must consider a communicative teaching where students must understand more than linguistic resources and that, thus, will promote the development of psycholinguistic processes fundamental for the learning of a L2.

Learning outcomes and competences

By the end of the subject, the student should be able to elaborate didactic activities for the ELE class, using different materials and resources. As well as, analysing in detail some didactical activities published in different media: online educational journals, textbooks, etc., in order to be able to adequately adapt them to the needs of his/her students.
