To provide students with an in-depth contact with some of the most important texts of Castilian literature of the 12th and 13th centuries. To draw the aesthetic, cultural and social context in which the said texts were produced and received, stimulating students to understand the role of literary production in this period, especially in what concerns the culture and identity of Spain.
