Objectives

To promote the reflexion and the practice, in an integrated and interdisciplinary way, of risk preview, analysis and management, seeking the preservation of archaeological heritage.

Throughout the semester will be provided specific literature about the different topics of the program.

Teaching methods and learning activities

Theoretical and practical lessons, laboratory practices and tutorial supervisions. Use of active teaching/learning strategies, such as field activities, laboratory simulation/experimentation, field trips and presentation/discussion/education, based on imagined scenarios, in real world problems and case studies. Development of individual and group works.

Eligibility for exams

Students must be registered and guarantee a 75% assiduity, both to classes and to tutorial supervision sessions. Their assiduity will be verified by the teacher through the students’ signature in attendance sheets, which they may consult for absence management. Students covered by special legislation are dismissed from this prerequisite.

Calculation formula of final grade

The following evaluation elements will be considered: - Constructive participation in classes (15%) - Reporting (25%) - Thematic research and preparation of written work (30%) - Preparation and presentation of a lesson (30%)

Examinations or Special Assignments

Students dismissed from the attendance prerequisite and who didn’t comply with it shall: - Elaborate a thematic research work, which the teacher will supervise through the existent communication channels - Prepare and present a lesson during the exam period, in a time and place to be set - Develop, autonomously, activities which explore the program, after teacher's approval, and write a report about them
