Objectives

1. acquisition of basic knowledge in linguistics; 2. acquisition of founded and accurate capability of reflection on languages, in particular the Portuguese; 3. mastery of fundamental aspects about the formation of words, their meaning and their relations; 4. mastery of the basics of syntax and semantics of sentences; 5. acquisition of comprehension and analysis skills of the principles of textual organization.

Learning outcomes and competences

 

1. acquire basic knowledge in Linguistics;
2. acquire founded and accurate capability of reflection on languages, in particular the Portuguese;
3. learn fundamental aspects about the functioning  of linguistic sounds and speech sounds;

4. master fundamental aspects about the formation of words, their meaning and their relations;
5. master basic aspects of syntax and semantics of sentences;

6. learn essential  notions of Pragmatics
7. acquire skills of comprehension and analysis of texts .
