Objectives

a) To identify and to critically explore topics which compose the corpus of Philosophy of Communication and its main links to education and, particularly, to Philosophy of Education;
b) To study in depth the understanding and the discussion of the probable relations between communication, education and philosophy. Convergences, disagreements and ruptures;
c) To acknowledge the educational dimension of the communicative action and to critically measure research possibilities from a communicative perspective in the educational field;
d) To provide a critical reflexion about different theoretical references and conceptual relations in the area of knowledge and in this research field.

1.1. From pan-communication to its unlikeliness (P. Watzlawick to Niklas Luhmann);
1.2. From the line to the circle: linear logic vs. reticular logic;
1.3. Reason and communicative action (J. Habermas);
2. Communication as an anthropological problem;
2.1. Homo Communicans: a human being without an inside? (P.Breton);
2.2. The primacy of the relationship: a human being in relations (F. Jacques).
3. Communication as a pedagogical problem
3.1. Communication and education;
3.1.1. The educational relation as a communication relation;
3.1.2. Meaning as finality.
