Objectives

The approach to different aspects of the programme aims to a) raise a critical analysis of the historical issues of Portugal in the early modern period, in the social, economic and cultural aspects; b) provide students with updated information and discuss theoretical assumptions and sources used by the authors; c) analyse concepts and operative instruments related to the economic and social history of the early modern period. The aim of tutorials will be to a) develop, through supervised discussions, the ability to analyze critique and explain scientific criticism; b) develop cognitive skills and provide conceptual and operating tools essential to a dynamic and critical learning.
