Objectives

Provide students with the skills to:
1. Understand the political environment that marked the History of Portugal from the late Middle Ages to the early Modern Era;
2. Analyse bibliography-document sources to be familiarised with scientific research on the political history of Portugal;
3. Convey the knowledge learned using the new technologies, reading reports and other mechanisms defined by the lecturer.

Calculation formula of final grade

Average between the final exam grade and a further assessment component to be done in tutorials:
Final exam - the grade corresponds to the average between a first section (30 multiple choice questions) and a second section consisting of a compulsory open question. (10 marks for each section)
Second assessment component to be done in tutorials: research assignment: Drafting/Presentation (15 marks for drafting - 5 marks for presentation) = 50 % for each assessment component.
