Objectives

To describe the main spatial instances that constitute cultural and social practices.
To systematize the various types of relationships established between the social determinants of space and the performative practices of place.
To interpret the 'trialectical' order in the mutual structuring of power, representation and practice in the formation of individual and collective identity.

2. The morphological approach: the landscape as palimpsest.
3. The humanist approach.
4. The production of space.
5. Otherness and postcolonial geographies.
6. The 'cultural studies' and the metaphor of the text.
7. The 'anti-humanist turn'.
8. Feminist geographies and the influence of post-structuralism.
9. Participatory action research and academic activism.
