Resumo (PT): O presente volume reúne uma parte das comunicações apresentadas ao XIII Congreso internacional de la Sociedad Española de Emblemática, que se realizou na Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto, entre os dias 2 e 4 de dezembro de 2021. A convocatória do encontro teve como mote «IGNORANTI QUEM PORTUM PETAT, NULLUS SUUS VENTUS EST: novos caminhos e desafios dos estudos icónico-textuais». Estabeleceu-se, assim, uma «emblemática» conexão com a personificação feminina do Ar, representada no painel central de azulejos da galeria superior do claustro da Catedral do Porto, obra atribuída a António Vital Rifarto, e que resultou na imagem gráfica do congresso e da capa do livro que agora se publica.

Abstract (EN): This volume gathers part of the papers presented at the XIII Congreso internacional de la Sociedad Española de Emblemática (13th International Conference of the Spanish Society of Emblematics), which took place at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto, between 2 and 4 December 2021. The call of the meeting had as its motto «IGNORANTI QUEM PORTUM PETAT, NULLUS SUUS VENTUS EST: new paths and challenges of iconic-textual studies».
