I have concluded my Undergraduate degree. What do I need to request my transcript of qualifications?
Students shall request a certificate of completion of their undergraduate studies on their personal page. The request has a ¤15 cost, to be paid at FLUP’s Treasury service. The certificate will be issued alongside the diploma supplement.
Is it necessary to present prerequisites to be admitted into FLUP?
Prerequisites are required for the courses of study in Communication Sciences: Journalism, Public Relations, Multimedia, in Archaeology, in Geography, in History and in Art History. They must be submitted upon enrolment.
Can there be a reduction of the tuition fee throughout a course of study?
Yes. A reduction of the tuition fee is due when the student enrols in a part-time regime, i.e., is registered in a maximum of 37.5 ECTS in courses of study that lead to the attainment of a degree.
May I attend curricular units that are not part of the course of study I am enrolled in?
Yes. In case you want to enrol in a curricular unit that is not part of your course of study, you must register in a single curricular unit within the allowed ECTS limit, as per Rectoral order. To this effect, the student shall make a request to enrol at the academic management service. A fee will be charged for the attendance in each curricular unit, as per the Regulation.
Are single curricular units accountable for weighted average grade?
No. However, the grades will be included in the transcript of records and also in the diploma supplement.
In which situations am I eligible to sit exams in the September special exam period?
The special exam period in September is meant for students enrolled in curricular units who need approval in a maximum of 30 ECTS to conclude their cycle of studies, for students under the special education needs and disabilities regime, as well as for students who must submit their Dissertations/Reports/Thesis in order to conclude their cycles of studies.
Can I enrol in a Masters degree at FLUP despite not having concluded my undergraduate studies?
In case you are awaiting for your grades to be published, you may apply conditionally by presenting your own statement with an indication of all completed curricular units. You must also commit to submitting a copy of your Undergraduate degree diploma as soon as it is issued.
Is it possible to request a scholarship to attend a Masters degree in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto?
Students in Masters degree courses may seek a scholarship with the Social Services of the University of Porto (SASUP). For more information, check SASUP’s website.
Do I have to go to the Faculty to pay my tuition fees?
No. You may check the tuition fees that are due in your personal page, as well as the respective payment references, which can be paid in an ATM or via homebanking.
Changes in your study plan
When you realise you must change your study plan for unforeseen circumstances, such as a situation of employment, overlapping schedules, content of the chosen curricular units, you shall fill in a form addressed to the Director of the Faculty to formalise the process and to find out if the proposed changes are acceptable. If authorised, you shall immediately head to the academic management service to complete the alteration.
