Teaching methods and learning activities

There are several teaching methodologies: lecturing and discussion with students in the classroom about the topics of syllabus with the use of demonstrative examples;  presentation and discussion by students, organized in small groups, texts and case studies previously selected and appointed by the teacher.
Another activities - support students in research information and literature; supervision of individual work.
The teacher publishes in SIGARRA / FLUP a developed summary for each topic of the syllabus with specific indications about the contents and bibliography.
In SIGARRA / FLUP is available bibliography of some of the required reading.

Eligibility for exams

Two test;
Classe atendance.

The two test and exam cover diferents points of program. They will be indicated by the teacher.


All evaluation components are mandatory and corrrespond to different points of program . The approval of the course unit requires that the marks obtained in the individual written report and two test are equal to or greater 10

Calculation formula of final grade

two tests - 50% 
exam - 40% 
attendance - 10%.

The students covered by article 9 (Normas de Avaliação de Conhecimentos) should contact the teacher.

The resource period includes performing - tests and exam - whose classification was lesson than 10 values, 

 For approval to the course, the classification of each of these evaluation components must be less than 10. To calculate the final classification keeps the classification concerning the work developed in the  sessions and attendance.

Classification improvement

The student may require improvement of classification according to the Faculty Evaluation Standards. Improving classification focuses only in the final exam. They will be considered for the calculation of the final grade, the grades obtained in the other components. It keeps the weighting given to each of these components of assessment and the conditions for approving the course.
