Teaching methods and learning activities
The methodology is based on group seminars that promote interaction between the students and between them and their supervisors. At this stage the students should be testing hypotheses with questionnaires, interviews, exercises and other research methods, as well as verifying the usability of such material. The supervisors and students participate with presentations on the reading material studied and cooperate in experiments to verify the methodologies used in their research.
At this stage supervision by means of individual tutorials becomes the most suitable methodology for the successful production of a dissertation, with emphasis on the correct presentation of a text that is academic both in structure and style with proper citation of the authors consulted. The supervisor also emphasizes the need to conform to the rules of academic ethics.
The organization and participation in conferences, workshops with experts and other events contribute to the students’ ability to envisage their research as part of a bigger project
