Program
1. Historical conditions in which the increasingly comprehensive concept of “heritage” emerges and develops. Meanings and contexts that today we can speak of “heritage” – a critical view of heritage ideologies and policies.
2. Philosophies of conservation, restoration and fruition of said “cultural assets” from the 19th century to Post-modernity, in other words, basically from elitist Romanticism to the society of mass consumption/tourism.
3. Theory(ies) and practice(s) – from the "nation state" to the widespread commercialization in the world (turned into an object of fruition mediated by neo-liberal economics), how States, regions and local authorities have generated and managed the issues of heritage, identity and authenticity.
4. Heritage and contemporary creation. The "event" as an "ontological operator": emerging (happening, having something to show and that can be visited) to be. The image and policies of visibility and attractiveness.

Calculation formula of final grade
Every student must actively participate in classes on a continuous basis (“continuous/distributed assessment”), complemented with a short essay addressing a topic of their choice. The final mark will result from the correlation between these two components.
