Objectives
In this course, students will acquire and develop techniques and strategies that allow them to speak and write in German, in different communication situations. At the end of the semester, students must be able to recognise the different types of texts, and to produce them according to certain formal criteria.
Program
To practice and increase oral and written communication skills in German.
Students will be able to practice free oral communication in the presentation of their work, and interactive oral communication, participating in discussions on various topics. Writing will be improved by drafting various types of texts. Depending on the needs of students enrolled in this course, these texts may be as follows: summary, discussion (“Erörterung”), official letter, written academic paper, and essay and film critique.
