Objectives

As a continuation of the work developed in Translation Seminar I, this seminar aims at developing the skills proper to a translation work that addresses the diverse dimensions of the transfer of a text between different contexts and traditions, both at linguistic and cultural level.

Program

The seminar will concentrate on the completion of different translations and will be the focus of the practical training work of the course. Students are expected to produce translations that will be discussed in the seminar. At the end of the semester each student is supposed to have built a portfolio that constitutes a record of his/her work as well as the material for his/her evaluation.
