Objectives

This subject has a strong practical and technological component and aims to validate, in practice, presuppositions listed in previous subjects. It also aims to introduce and strengthen concepts, techniques and tools required in the fields of sound and image to produce audiovisual products. It is intended that the technology is seen as not and end but as a means, inducing a typical language, explored in its technical, aesthetic and creative dimensions. The subject will unfold in two modules: sound module and image module.

Program

The syllabus of the subject will follow the evolutionary course of the process and of the environment. To this end, the sound module will work on the concepts and techniques for capturing sound, recording and editing, the use of sound effects, mixing, mastering and audio for multimedia. For its part, the image module will focus on photo image, animation, stop motion, video image, lighting, editing grammar, audiovisual production process, interview techniques, non-linear editing, video for multimedia, and structure and authoring of DVDs. Throughout the classes, we will address writing concepts and techniques related to argument that will lead to the drafting of the argument for a short film.
